Philosophy

In the past, I worked for Santa Barbara High School's P.A.C.E Center for 2 years during high school. During college, I worked for the Upland YMCA as a KinderKare teacher and for Moraga Family Daycare as a child care assistant. In 2001, I opened Little Promises Family Daycare in Ontario, CA with my mother. I co-owned and operated Little Promises until 2003, when I decided to move back to Santa Barbara. I took a break from child care for a couple years and went into the banking industry until the birth of my son in August 2006. It has been a hard decision to leave the banking industry and re-open a childcare center. However, after looking for daycare for my son that decision became a lot easier. I am eager to provide a healthy, loving environment for your child to develop in and I look forward to creating lasting relationships with each family I provide care for.

The Daycare

I allow each child to develop their own learning pattern, as I believe that every child learns differently and should be allowed to do so. I am simply here to provide structure, guidance and love during that process. I do provide a flexible schedule for all children to follow. Our facility has an open door policy, as parents are always free to drop in at anytime. I also encourage parents to get involved in daycare activities at their leisure. I believe that it is essential to keep an open line of communication. I offer Mother goose learning plan.

Meals

I provide breakfast, lunch and both morning and afternoon snack. Parents with infants are required to provide breast milk or formula and baby food. I strongly support breastfeeding and welcome lactating mothers to drop in and breastfeed at anytime.
