Program Information

Precious Moments offers a warm and homey atmosphere as well as providing a feeling of being a part of an extended family. Precious Moments Daycare Preschool strives towards presenting a stimulating curriculum which enhances the child’s appetite for exploration and discovery of the world around them. To facilitate this learning, we have provided a flexible program and a comfortable environment that is conducive to achieve the developmental confidence, and the ability to successfully relate to others.
Precious Moments operates on a non-discriminatory basis according to equal treatment without regard to race, color, religion, national origins, or ancestry.

Curriculum

Our curriculum has been formulated through extensive experience and research applied to the daily activities planned for the children. We do actives that are based around a monthly theme. We have indoor and outdoor activities which include, dress-up, play dough, music and movement, art time, story time, sensory table and water play for those warm days! For children approaching kindergarten age, we have curriculum to enhance their readiness (i.e. practicing letters, numbers, and word recognition) in order to ease the transition into kindergarten. We have a large play area which includes a comfortable section reserved for riding bikes, playing with balls and running around. We also have a large sand box area with lots of sand toys and climbing equipment. Our goal is to develop each child’s fine and large motor skills through lots of play and guidance in a safe and loving environment. We provide age appropriate curriculum to meet each child’s need.

Special Activities

• Mimi fieldtrips to the local park which include picnics.
• During October we like to go to the local pumpkin patch (with parent participation of course!).
• We love to do themed potlucks around holidays and special occasions with performances of songs that come from the children.
• Aside from our regular art activities we also do art projects with the children. We take into consideration the age group of the children and appropriately design a fun art project for them.
• We also take daily walks with the children (depending on the weather).
• We have in the past done other field trips like going to the zoo and going to the apple farm. We love to do field trips, but this depends greatly on parent participation, which we encourage.
